Angeline McCall anchored this past weekend, she has previous experience with that shift, at WDAY in Fargo.

Re: Jay Allen has cancer
On MLive just now, Jay passed away earlier today.
God Rest and Welcome his soul. I remember him doing Hoops public address in Van Andel 20 years ago, where he sounded great on that job. Wish I had heard him at the task at Comerica.

You should have called for the iHeart Staff Ax, and your credibility needle would have made a Super Jump.
Not picking on any of the presumptions you have made above, just a bit of gallows humor from someone who spent 14 years in a Clear Channel/iHeart newsroom, until that blade caught me.

Michelle DeSelms Takes the Evil Gary Cooper Job at WOODTV...
She will be the Community Strategy Manager, a couple of years after her departure from WXMI.
Aguirre-Cooper left for Miami and Univison in December, and there's a title change with the new hire, as EAC was the Community Affairs Director.

Beaten by "The River." Lordy, sounds like a simple message someone might key-scratch into the door of an 'LAV boss' car, so that the concept finally sinks in. I started tuning in the "Q" in the last month, owing to general boredom with the known quantities elsewhere on the dial. Enjoying most of the...

Re: AM 810 rockford
It is still a slipshod operation, technically, as I can attest to, thanks to listening while on my morning commutes to Big Rapids. Right now, the Prius' antenna is broken and the bleed AM 810 creates across the spectrum is noticeable as I get up by 10 Mile and continue toward the M-57 interchange. I...

Congratulations to Veronica.
She was a pleasant visitor when 9&10 News was seeking story content from my employer. They're running a fine shop from the old Kysor headquarters in Cadillac, with people moving on to Grand Rapids, Detroit via the Tri-Cities and Minneapolis.

I've heard Jason on the Michigan News Network casts that filter out to affiliates in Ionia and Grand Rapids. Solid as a rock in his delivery, congratulations.

I'm backing up a bit, where comments were made about Fleetwood Mac tunes before the mid 70s, and this is a post to back up "Spare Me A Little Of Your Love" and "Bare Trees," which was the title track of their album in '72. I do remember the days where WLDR and Don Wiitala was carrying TC St. Francis...

I appreciate knowing this, so I don't try to tune in "The Bay" on my way into Saginaw this Thanksgiving. I can ride Dan and Lomas as I roll past the former Silverdome site, thinking back to Gary Danielson's flat pass one Thanksgiving that LT took in for the day's only touchdown.

Re: The Blarney Stone Broadcasting Legacy
The Leetsville Cafe was their lunchtime show when I was working in the region, mid 1980s.
Terri Ray was there then, and apparently continues now.
Old habits are hard to break, and in time, may become hard to like.

Re: Hoss?
I checked with someone who would know, and the Hoss' work on WTKG ended in 2015, some irreconcilable differences between himself and management, and an attempt to carry on by buying time on WJRW lasted only a short while. Those were some days, though...

Re: Can You Tell Me Before Friday Night...
To update the notion, as the late Joe Falls would do, writing for a small audience, MSU-Illinois is on 101.3 The Brew Saturday, Nov. 9, as Western has become your Bowl-eligible Tuesday night MAC team again next week. Michigan fans sit idle and WOOD carries the middling Griffins.
