The Apple Core Lounge was just SW of Gun Lake. It was in a golf clubhouse. The last knew, the old Note building was a restaurant. I used to drive past it on my way to work. Both of these were around just before my day. I used to go to the White Knight which is now The Hillard's Lounge.

Re: Christmas Creep on SXM
If it's not too late, SXM 602 plays Holiday Traditions. Also, bonus Pandora channels from SXM, Mantovani (Holiday), Jim Brickman (Holiday), and Bing Crosby (Holiday) I think that's a ap. My phone on the kitchen wall doesn't do aps. I stream most of the music I listen to from SXM since I do not do m...

Re: Christmas Creep on SXM
But, on the screen. they're still calling it Holiday Traditions. Here in Canada, Dec 26 is a holiday, Boxing Day. It's like an extension of Christmas Day. It still feels like Christmas. I'm playing some Christmas CDs If it's not too late, SXM 602 plays Holiday Traditions. Also, bonus Pandora channe...

Re: Real Oldies is back
Greg, I am not being an antagonist, but do you honestly think there's enough know how left in the industry to successfully program a real oldies format successfully with current ownership of FM? I think they have painted themselves into a corner so bad with lack of talent and programmers that Gary ...

Re: Cleaning Up Old Audio File
I'm trying to make an old radio tape more listenable. It's a Ron Cameron radio show from 1997 that I originally recorded on a cassette tape through the AM/FM/cassette player. I transferred it to an mp3 file with the Audacity open source audio editing tool (https://www.audacityteam.org/). I tried di...

Re: 2022 Railroad Strike
I'd be curious to know what the real (complete) benefits packages for these folks who are getting the big increases and bonuses. Do they still get defined retirement plans? Why are "railroad benefits" treated separately in the tax code (seems like there is ALWAYS a line in the tax forms to fill out...

Re: the old WJPW-AM 810
I think I remember WEHB. Did they used to broadcast at 89.9 FM? Could barely pick up the station in Wyoming. After that station left the airwaves, Cornerstone University purchased the license, I believe. It then broadcasted traditional hymnal music for a spell before becoming Christian CHR as WAYG....

Re: the old WJPW-AM 810
For about a year in the 1980's I worked at WJPW. I also volunteered at what was then a low powered, all volunteer, and mono community radio station called WEHB. There were a few of us that worked both stations in the 1980's. The most famous of them all were the Polka Pops hosts Ernie Pierogi and Je...
