Re: Yammies aren't built so well these days...

comcast has the worst customer service Yamaha the best. example. My Yamaha was taken into the shop on Thursday March 7th. The service center just hasn't been able to get the part in. After 30 days, I contact Yamaha, and they are just going to send me a brand new RX-A6A...the service center will ship...

Re: OJ Simpson Kicks The Bucket, Age 76

I had a wonderful Friday Night Happy Hour in Beaver Creek with a bunch of co-workers in 1994 watching the slow chase. It was a great time. I was in the CP bleachers at Tiger stadium watching via the CF camerman's B&W monitor.... surreal I was at Tiger Stadium that night too. I remember the radio br...

Re: Solar Eclipse April 8th

on a different message board, someone put it perfectly....

in the case of solar eclipses, when it comes to totality - 99.9% rounds down to 0

it's that plain and simple

Re: Solar Eclipse April 8th

I took 1/2 day off and traveled down, made it Pemberville (SSE of toledo) anyone that says 99 or 98% is "just as good" is full of crap. the magic happens at 100% as someone said on another message board, 99.9% rounds down to zero I spent 5 hours driving yesterday for 3 minutes of totality, and it wa...

It's a question of loyalty with Karsch. You wouldn't have heard Bob Ufer doing MSU games, or worse...doing Ohio State Games.
he grew up a Michigan fan, his parents were (are) professors at U-M
and was the 1st to say his grades couldn't get him in U-M, but could get him into MSU.....

Re: A Letter to Dan Miller

When has he worked as a sports anchor / journalist at WWJ? He's solely been a play-by-play man in the 25 years I've lived on this side of the state. So, no conflict exists. Larry Henry 25+ years ago did sports reports at WWJ + some Pistons radio play by play. One could certainly argue Doug "Marlbor...

Re: MSU vs. UM hockey this weekend

regional sites are bid on, not "assigned", and in the midwest, grand rapids, Toledo, fort Wayne, and a bunch of other venues have steered clear of this money losing event. last couple of years the "midwest" regional was in allentown PA because no place in what we would call the midwest put in a bid ...

Re: ATSC 3.0 is unnecessary; numerous 4K, 1080p and 720p streams already possible using a single RF channel in ATSC 1.0!

I hate the idea of another RF transition, IE ATSC 3.0 I like the idea what this guy has done in Eugene. If I was at the FCC, I would ask TV vendors to provide software patches for older sets. Maybe even setup a software group to help do this. Very very few "older sets" are capable of software or fi...
